Went to St Louis for a business conference this week. Knowing I would be in back to back meetings the entire time, I rushed over to make sure I could see the arch as soon as landed on Monday afternoon. Made the trip to the top and got to see an amazing view of the city. Found a really great tapas place for dinner and had the most amazing chicken flatbread with a North African spice sauce. Saved room for a butter cake for dessert!
When I woke up on Tuesday, I watched the sunrise over the distant cityscape before heading out for the conference.
One of my coworkers told me that I needed to make sure to try the St Louis speciality, Toasted Ravioli...which I was able to grab at the airport while waiting for my flight.

Dawn Sunrise Photography
Dawn or Sunrise Photographs
This week's Picaboo 52 Week Photo Challenge is dawn or sunrise photography. Despite the clock's springing forward and losing an hour of sleep, I went down to Redondo Beach early to capture some morning shots. It's amazing how much you start to notice the little things when you are given an assignment. For example, I never would have stopped and noticed the tiny water droplets on the pine tree or appreciated a random, left behind red shovel. Here are a few of my favorite shots from this morning:
